We two could have put the words
mellow our souls, swayed our paths
ode lullabyes to our hearts.
We two could have put the lines
hum the string, strike a beat
an extra ebony, you laugh
taking all the ivory.
We two could have, what it takes
isn't it bad?
create a song, waves with melodies
like water nourishes earth
like heavens accomodating gods.
But time is a villain,
all that passes set in
harmony isn't harmony
